Courses

There are several types of courses available in the Sixth Form and we offer a wide combination of A level and OCR Cambridge Technical courses. We also offer a limited level 2 programme for students needing to retake English and Maths GCSE.

Students intending to study level 3 qualifications should have achieved a minimum of five 4-9 at GCSE, including a grade 4 English language and mathematics and at least a grade 5 at GCSE in a related subject (exceptional circumstances will be considered).

A-Levels

Vocational

At Felpham, we understand the importance of offering students a rounded curriculum to support their courses and prepare them for their next steps after college. All students take part in our fortnightly life skills sessions, which includes support with UCAS and apprenticeships, first aid training, and talks on financial capability, politics, dealing with exam stress, and gap years among others. All students also have a fortnightly enrichment session, which is used for work experience, social action, art, sport, Felpham FM or MOOCs (online courses run by universities).

Additionally, students studying 3 A levels are timetabled for the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which is equivalent to an AS level and worth up to 20 UCAS points. This gives students the opportunity to produce a project on a topic of their choice whilst developing important research and study skills.
